U.S. Embassy Panama Will Be Closed on December 5th in Memory of Late President George H.W. Bush

Panama City, 4 December 2018. The entire U.S. Embassy in Panama will be closed on Wednesday, December 5th, in memory of President George H.W. Bush.

No routine services will be available in the Visas, American Citizen Services, or Federal Benefits Units.

Individuals who had visa appointments for that date will receive an email to the address provided on the application form, indicating the date and time of their new appointment.

On Thursday, December 6, 2018, the Consular Section will resume full operations with our regular schedule.

Former President of the United States George H.W. Bush, passed away last Friday, November 30th. President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order declaring December 5th, 2018 as National Day of Mourning and ordering the closure of all agencies and departments of the federal government as a sign of respect for the former President.
