U.S. Embassy Donates COVID-19 Prevention Equipment to Panama’s National Police
Panama City, 31 August 2020.- Today, U.S. Embassy in Panama Chief of Mission Stewart Tuttle visited Panama’s National Police headquarters to donate Panama’s National Police 45 air purifiers, in a ceremony attended by National Police Director Jorge Miranda.
These 45 air purifiers, which in total cost $35,525, will be placed in National Police facilities to help reduce airborne contaminants, including viruses, in the air.
“With these purifiers we look to protect lives of the heroes who continue to uphold security in the country during difficult times,” said Chief of Mission Tuttle during the donation ceremony.
This donation is part of the over $4 million in assistance offered by the United States Government to Panama in aid to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in the Central American nation.
