Remarks of U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien at Ventilators Donation Ceremony in Panama
Good morning.
It is great to be here in Panama, a nation with which the United States shares a deep, mutual commitment to promoting security, prosperity, and democratic governance across the Western Hemisphere.
We have a long history of friendship between our two nations.
I bring you greetings from the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
Today, on behalf of President Trump, I am proud to donate 50 U.S-made ventilators and other medical resources to the Government of Panama to bolster its COVID-19 response.
These donations are in addition to the more than $4 million we have already given in health and humanitarian assistance to support Panama’s COVID-19 response.
True friends are there for each other when times get tough. Thanks to China, unfortunately, these days are very tough.
The United States is honored to stand with Panama and the Panamanian people as we combat the novel coronavirus together.
Thank you.
God bless the United States of America and God bless Panama.
