Promoting Security and Accountability in Panama

The U.S. Embassy in Panama is pleased to announce an open competition for grant awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and invites public international organizations, U.S. and foreign nonprofit organizations, and U.S. and foreign accredited institutions of higher education to submit proposals for activities in Panama to strengthen civil society, democracy and rule of law, and aid the development of Panamanian government institutions, or provide job skills training and facilitate economic opportunities for underserved youth and at-risk communities as an alternative to illegal activities. Contingent upon the availability of funds and quality of proposals, U.S. Embassy Panama intends to issue one to seven awards in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 in total funding.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be submitted on or before April 29, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.Eastern time.

Application deadline has been extended to Friday, May 6, noon. Applicants who have already submitted their applications through grants.gov do not need to resubmit again.
