SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras – Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-Bravo), a unit under the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) and based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, returns to Panama to support and finish the Panamax Alpha 2023 mission from 23 January to 7 February. This mission is also known as Ejercico Humanitario Mercurio IV.
Partnering with Servicio Nacional Aeronaval (SENAN), JTF-Bravo will transport and deliver school modular systems and food supplies to communities throughout the northern region of Comarca Ngabe-Bugle region at the request of the Government of Panama.
Supplies will be delivered utilizing U.S. Army CH-47 Chinooks and U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from Soto Cano Air Base in and around the following areas: Panama City, Kankintu, Kusapin, Santa Cayalina o Calovebora, Muna, Mirono, Besiko, and Jirondai.
