Dr. Jill Biden has arrived in Panama City, Republic of Panama as a part of her four-country visit to Central and South America. In Panama, Dr. Biden is leading the Presidential Delegation attending the Inauguration of the Expansion of the Panama Canal.
On Saturday, Dr. Biden will deliver remarks at an Independence Day Celebration hosted by the U.S. Embassy.
On Sunday, Dr. Biden will lead a U.S. Delegation at the inauguration of the expansion of the Panama Canal. Other members of the U.S. delegation include, The Honorable John D. Feeley, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Panama, Department of State, The Honorable William R. Brownfield, Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Department of State, Admiral Kurt W. Tidd, Commander, U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), and The Honorable Mari Carmen Aponte, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Department of State.
In the evening, Dr. Biden will depart Panama City, Republic of Panama en route Washington, D.C.
