Consular Section Closure for Non-emergency Services

The U.S. Embassy in Panama City is currently operating at reduced staffing. Due to new movement and business restrictions imposed by the Ministry of Health, the Consular Section will be closed for routine services through January 15, 2021The Embassy will be completely closed on January 1, 2021. Emergency services for U.S. citizens and emergency visa services will still be available. Currently, only the passport renewal process for adult American citizens continues without interruption via mail (DHL): https://pa.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/renewal-adults-mail/.
